My first time to fly fish and I made the 21" Club!!!! What a fantastic time and Elktrout Lodge is a great experience , staff is fantastic, and the scenery and fishing are the best! I think I am definitely spoiled.....this being my first fishing experience!!!!!

Elktrout is a great opportunity to catch beautiful browns. This 21" was a thrill to catch.

After completing 3/4's of the Grand Slam on Troublesome Creek, all I needed was a Brook Trout. We went to one of the ponds where my guide, Gideon, said he was confident we could catch a Brookie. As the sun was setting, I hooked a Brookie, and as we were about to net it, it broke off. So it was recast and hope. On the third cast, I hooked another fish that turned out the be a Brookie, so I was able to complete the Grand Slam. It wasn't the biggest fish, but it was the most satisfying.

My daughter, Laura and I visited Elktrout May 30th to June 2nd, 2007. We had three fabulous days of fishing. Chris was an excellent guide and helped Laura land this rainbow, her first ever on a fly. Thankyou to Chris for the great fishing, Colleen for the excellent accomodations and Bob for the delicious food. I explained to Laura that my fishing trips with the guys are not first class like Elktrout but she didn't buy it!
