Four of us visited ElkTrout Lodge from July 8 through July 14. We stayed in the large guest cabin and it was the perfect accommodation for us. The food was excellent, and the fishing more than exceeded our expectations.
We couldn't imagine the quantity and the size of fish we we were able to catch in the ponds, the Colorado River and especially Troublesome Creek.
I can certainly understand why so many of the guests have been here more than once. Thanks to the staff and especially the guides for making this a memorable trip.

My brother Mike and I were at Elk-Trout for 3 days 8-30-06 to 9-1-06. We had a wonderful trip, caught great fish, had the most wonderful food and just enjoyed ourselves so very much. Our guide ,Chris, is very good, probably the best we have ever had. He took care of all the messes I did to my line, got me out of trees and was very patient. Thanks to him I caught a 23 inch Rainbow and many others, as did my brother. Colleen was so very good to us, she even gave me her mug, because the store was out of them. That is a real sweet heart to give up her coffee mug. We always have a great time at Elk-Trout, thanks to all there for being so great!!! Lynn Johnson.

I had a fantastic time. I want to thank our guide Steve for a great day of fishing. His personality and style fit well with us. We couldn't have had a better day, perfect weather, beautiful scenery and the greatly appreciated fishing tips Steve gave me throughout the day. It couldn't have been a better day. I will have to try and upload a picture or two. One of them is the 24" Rainbow I caught. Thanks again.

My brother and I ,Michael enjoyed a wonderful time at Elk Trout recently. I have never been treated so great. From the time we arrived, Colleen gave us a warm welcome and really made me feel at home. She is a wonderful outgoing person. From that point on we were made to feel so comfortable, great food, great company, and the best fishing of my life--- Thanks so much, Lynn Johnson

What a fantastic week of fishing! We felt welcome from the moment that we arrived. The food and lodging was excellent. I really enjoyed the diversity of fishing from the big rivers to the small steams and ponds. The fish just seem bigger at Elktrout. The pictures that you provided at the end of the trip capped off a really first class week. I am already planning our next trip.

First class experience. My son and I went to Elktrout on May 16th. The fly shop told us what to expect but until we went and experienced it, the two does not compare. I took a video camera but never used it, the experience will be with us forever. Jason (our guide) was the best and very patient with my son and myself. Thanks for the great memories and we plan on coming back for more.

Everything at ElkTrout clicks, all of the staff from the moment you check in makes you feel completely comfortable and welcome to be at their facility. Our guide, Paul Reese was a real pleasure to fish with, he knew the water and was patient with his teaching. This was our second year at the lodge, and can't wait until the third.

I just wanted to thank each of you for the wonderful experience I recently encountered at Elktrout. I have had the opportunity to fish in Alaska and Canada, and duck hunt in Arkansas. I stayed at, and was guided by, the so called "5-star"lodges. There aren't enough stars to describe the Elktrout effort put forth by each of you. The fishing was beyond my wildest dreams - good guide, good water, and good results.
Running a community bank or a fishing lodge is a very similar in application. We both are in the service business. It is very obvious to me that the staff at Elktrout knows their business. They deliver as promised.

Eddie [our guide] was extremely helpful, especially to my wife. He really enjoyed going after big fish. One of the best places we have ever fished. We will return.
